RADA President David Harewood to deliver IPA Talent & Diversity Conference keynote

Experience the power of unity on Wednesday 30 April

As a young actor, David Harewood OBE was sectioned under the Mental Health Act following a psychotic breakdown brought on in part by the racism he suffered. In the years since, David has spoken openly about how this battle has helped make him the person, activist and mental health campaigner he is today.

His keynote at the IPA Talent & Diversity Conference on Wednesday 30 April will set the stage for an engaging exploration of talent and diversity in the advertising industry and how, at its best, advertising has the unique power to unite.

We will also hear from Karen Martin, IPA President and CEO, BBH, in conversation with Julian Douglas Group CEO, VCCP, on how best to nurture creative talent and Talent Leadership Group Chair, Group CEO AMV BBDO, Xavier Rees exploring the importance of unity for our industry and society.

The half-day hybrid conference aims to make a memorable collective experience out of a half day conference; to share intelligent optimism during challenging times with some of the brightest minds in the creative industries, including:

  • Altogether Different with our Sponsor Partner Channel 4 - why inclusion has been central to many of Channel 4’s biggest moments and continues to be a priority for the business and the programming.
  • Outvertising and Thinkbox’s Chris Dunne, M&C Saatchi’s Isabelle Bale, MG OMD’s Natalie Bell and Grey London’s Asad Shaykh exploring LGBTQIA+ equity in the workplace.
