Corporate membership is for agencies with a Gross Income of at least £500k. Each member’s annual subscription is calculated using its Gross Income derived from its most recent set of formally approved financial statements. We provide member agencies with four simple steps to help them protect their intellectual property, ideas and concepts presented during the pitch process. These steps include entering into a pre-pitch NDA with the potential client and registering any pitch work online with the IPA Pitch Protection Scheme.
Each member agency has its own profile page to promote itself to clients and talent. It’s well worthwhile for members to update their pages regularly as the A-Z list of IPA member agencies and our Agency Finder map are among the most popular sections on our website.
We have developed a set of digital assets and comms, including an IPA Member Agency logo, to highlight the benefits to clients of working with an IPA Member Agency. The toolkit is free to download (member login required).
When it comes to accessing industry currency data, member agencies can benefit from substantial discounts on subscriptions to BARB, JICRIT/J-ET and PAMCo, as well as to TouchPoints, the IPA’s unique, consumer-centric, multi-media database, which is an invaluable aid to campaign planning.
We carry out Benchmark Surveys among our members to provide member agencies’ management teams with the information to benchmark themselves against comparable agencies in relation to a number of financial and HR-related factors.
The IPA Insight Centre, with its range of premium research tools, can provide data and analysis to help with member agencies’ new business pitches, campaign planning and internal brainstorming. Also available is the team’s library of special reports.
Our Effectiveness Hub is where member agencies can keep up-to-date with our latest events and thought leadership on the core theme of demonstrating return on marketing investment. There are brand films and case studies, publications and qualifications, as well as advice on entering the prestigious biennial IPA Effectiveness Awards.
Our thought leadership publications are designed to inform and inspire with exciting new thinking. We also publish regular surveys, such as the quarterly Bellwether Report on client spending intentions, and our Knowledge Centre houses our range of best practice publications. Member agencies can also benefit from a 10% discount on subscriptions to WARC.com, including renewals (though please note that this discount cannot be claimed retrospectively or in addition to any existing discounts).
The IPA hosts a wide range of events – including our annual Business Growth Conference and EffWorks Global, as well as our long-running 44 Club – to showcase new work, research and ideas. When open, our Belgrave Square meeting rooms are available for member agencies to hire at discounted rates for their own events or away-days.
The IPA runs a number of groups and committees for member agencies. These focus on different aspects of agency life, and they help to formulate new R&D projects, events, courses, qualifications and best practice guidance.

As well as access to a CPD Diary for each employee. The IPA offers a comprehensive Continuous Professional Development programme. Within the four-level structure of Foundation, Essentials, Advanced and Excellence, there’s a wide range of courses and qualifications, which provide the pathway for individuals to achieve MIPA accreditation. An annual CPD Gold award is the reward for member agencies who are able to demonstrate the impact of their CPD programme on their business performance.
