Loop Horizon has an innate ability to make sense of the numbers. Co-founded by James Alexander and Rob McLaughlin, who exited the business in 2023, Loop Horizon now comprises over 50 senior data and marketing specialists. Their unrivalled expertise in understanding both the technology and the practical application of marketing has been integral to the agency’s ability to connect the dots – and win clients. 

Or as James puts it: “Using customer data to create those moments where you can increase your likelihood to get lucky, in the right place at the right time.” 

Since 2019, James – who has a degree in mathematics – and his team have been deploying that deep, cross-functional expertise in all sorts of sectors, from consumer goods and finance to health and travel. Largely through in-bound referrals, Loop Horizon has built an impressive client base spanning Boots, F1, Currys, Pepsi and Three. 

It is testament to the speed of growth that Loop Horizon was named one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies in the FT1000 for two years running. The agency shows no signs of slowing, delivering a 60% increase in revenue last year. 

In 2026, the market is moving in its favour: cloud data environments are becoming increasingly mature, marketing technology is becoming more sophisticated, and its team is becoming better at what they do. They operate from Loop HQ in Kew Gardens, Leeds and Bangalore, home to a small analytics team. What once required a department of 30, Loop Horizon delivers with a tightly focused team of senior specialists. 

Naturally, AI presents an obvious opportunity for this data-driven agency, but Loop Horizon won’t be burning bridges with the legacy model. It will be finding the balance, internally and externally, to make sure it stays ahead while not leaving any clients behind. And while existing client growth and referrals have filled the pipeline to-date, Loop Horizon is now determined to make itself more known to the market. It has enough size and track record to be more proactive about this, so we can expect to see and hear a lot more from this this talented team of practitioners.
