We're looking to supercharge media planning as a skillset, which has become a real rarity.
Adfabric is the agency trying to bring some magic back to media planning. With over 20 years of experience in media – starting as a graduate at Universal McCann – founder Hannah King had witnessed a gradual decline in proper planning skills due to the rise of digital. Key skills and curiosity were being lost, so she began her mission to set up an agency that would invest heavily in training and upskilling, break down silos and create value for clients.
The London-based agency has grown every year since launch in 2020, when it picked up its first account for The British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It was an exciting campaign for the Mercury Prize Awards that started a relationship that continues to this day.
Hiring “T-shaped people” with channel expertise has helped Adfabric to win competitive pitches against well-known media agencies, building a strong and varied portfolio of UK clients over the years.
While there are only four full-time employees, they offer a full suite of services to brands including the Brit Awards, Virtual Landline, Cynergy Bank and Hackney Gelato. Their strategic and technical prowess has been recognised with a steady stream of awards, and the agency is expecting to at least double revenue this year.
In 2026, Hannah now has the time, space and budget to be able to “supercharge” the next stage of growth. Having enjoyed a long stint of organic client acquisitions, Adfabric is planning to build a pipeline of new clients with an expanded its new business team. It has also just launched a new visual identity and proposition to drive more impact and help it stand out in an increasingly crowded agency landscape.
Hannah has worked hard to create her ideal agency and perfect team, but she is also thinking about how to futureproof the value of planning. Having benefited from being a graduate herself back in the early noughties, Hannah is excited to be hiring the agency’s first graduate this year. They will have direct access to Adfabric’s channel experts and be trained from the ground up. We look forward to seeing this “future superstar” develop over the years.
