Mental Skills for Pitch Success Essentials

Turning Stress into Strength

Pitching is one of the most high-pressure aspects of agency life. This two-hour, virtual workshop is designed to help agency staff at all levels develop the mental skills needed to manage stress, maintain collaboration, and enhance performance throughout the pitch process.

Who is this course for?

Anyone who works on pitches: agency professionals at both junior and advanced levels, new business, account management, and pitch teams.

Content

Drawing on insights from the IPA and ISBA's Pitch Positive Pledge, the session covers the full pitch cycle - before, during, and after:

  1. Before the pitch: Building mental resilience
  2. During the pitch: Managing the stress rollercoaster
  3. After the pitch: Decompression and moving forward

What you'll learn

The workshop aims to minimise the mental health impact on staff while driving high performance and exceptional results. Delegates will learn practical mental and social strategies to enhance control, focus, and collaboration, ensuring the team delivers the best outcomes while maintaining mental resilience.

By the end of the workshop, delegates will:

  • Understand the common mental health challenges during the pitch process.
  • Be equipped with tools to foster resilience in themselves and their teams.
  • Feel more confident and in control, regardless of pitch outcomes.
  • Be able to apply strategies immediately in real-world pitch scenarios.
